640gsm Gold embossed (pushed up) business cards (or silver)

Your logo or text will be embossed in gold or silver (up to 35% of card). The rest of the text will be de-bossed if required (pushed down). The reverse of the card will be flat print. You should be aware the embossing will show through on the back. Please ask for samples if unsure.

“Tell me, what is embossing”?

Glad you asked! There is only one true embossing in print, the result being where the image or text stands proud of the sub-straight (paper or board), All printers have their own preferred method but Impress foil or print the image on our own very special 640gsm card stock. We have do this this with perfect precision and call it ‘register’. Next comes the tricky bit, the card is turned over and the image is pushed through using an embossing die, which is s two part set much like a jelly mould. As we use a heavy card as standard two tonnes of pressure is needed to emboss the image, The process is slow and demanding but well worth the finished result.

Artwork requirements: Vector artwork is important to create the dies.

Size with 3mm bleed: 61mm x 91mm Resolution: 300 dpi minimum Format: PDF, CDR  or Ai CMYK (RGB/Pantones will be converted during proofing)
Fonts: Outlined or Embedded Bleed: 3mm Safe Zone: 3mm No printer marks

Foil embossing should be no bigger than 35% of the card
